Simplifying the process of curriculum design within Curriculum for Wales

50 schools and settings are welcome to take part in cohort 6 of the National support programme, which is delivered over 10 online sessions.
16 September 2025

Spaces for cohort 7 of the National support programme for curriculum and assessment design are now available. The 10 online workshop sessions will run Wednesday afternoons (2.30pm to 5pm), starting in January 2026.

The first 5 sessions provide access to the Curriculum for Wales Institute, which articulates clear expectations of curriculum design and provides practical support with clear examples.

Schools and settings then have a term to undertake a school-based task using the ideas and tools developed thus far.

The final 5 sessions provide further institute access, and space to share progress and reflections. There is opportunity to collaborate with other schools and settings throughout the programme.
